The surgeon creates a pocket between the cheekbones and its overlying soft tissues. The implant is then placed into the pocket and the incision is then sutured and dressed. - How long does surgery take?
Cheek implant surgery normally takes 1.5 hours to 2 hours to complete, this can vary. The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic and overnight hospital stay is recommended. -
