    Cheek implants are an enhancement that are available for enhancing the cheek if they have lost definition, or for someone who has suffered a facial injury and requires facial reconstruction. Your surgeon will guide you through everything at consultation.
  • How Are Cheek Implants Placed?
    The surgeon creates a pocket between the cheekbones and its overlying soft tissues. The implant is then placed into the pocket and the incision is then sutured and dressed.
  • How long does surgery take?
    Cheek implant surgery normally takes 1.5 hours to 2 hours to complete, this can vary. The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic and overnight hospital stay is recommended.

    Are cheek implants permanent?
    Yes Cheek implants are designed to last indefinitely.
  • Are there any side effects?
    Bruising and swelling of the cheeks and in the area around the eyes can be expected after surgery.
  • How long is the recovery?
    Patients make a partial recovery within a couple of days, and full recovery and removal of dressing normally take place 1 – 2 weeks after surgery.
